- While we are in the way to Taqa we will pass through the Marmura house and the Royal Farm until we reach the Taqa village, we will see there the traditional old houses in Dhofari style, and now it is the time to see the stunning castle there which was the official residence of the Governor of Taqa village in the past, our guide will tell you about its mysterious rich history.
- Now is the time for the most inspiring part of the trip, by going further to the east of Taqa we will reach the ruins of Sumhurum (Khor Rori), it is a city which was known as the outpost of easternmost of the Kingdom of Hadramawt on the ancient incense route between the Persian Gulf, India and the Mediterranean sea, which was also an important port on the coast of Dhofar, and one of the biggest cities of trading with frankincense, it was the hub and harbour for Frankincense shipping (UNESCO World Heritage site)… here is the palace of the Queen Sheba.
- Next we will drive through the coastal road until we reach and old city is called Mirbat which is famous with its Arabian horses and slave trading, we will stop at Bin Ali tomb to take pictures beside the 800 years old tomb and then will take a look at the old Merchant houses at Mirbat Castle before going to Salalah.
- And before we end our tour we will visit the magnificent Ain Razat which has a great nature with surrounding hills at the Qara Mountains.
