Overview
Wadi Sahtan lies off a local road north of Rustaq, at the end of narrow tracks. Inside it is the Mandoos, also called the Sahtan Bowl or Oman's chest, an isolated and beautiful place.
This 4WD trip takes you there from Muscat, starting at the fish market of Seeb.

Pickup from anywhere in Muscat.
Start at the fish market of Seeb.
Take the local road north of Rustaq to Wadi Sahtan. The same road leads to the interior through Wadi Bani Ghafir, Wadi Mabrah and Wadi Hidaq.
After some narrow tracks, arrive at the entrance of the wadi and have lunch there (lunch is not included).
Reach the Mandoos, also called the Sahtan Bowl or Oman's chest, an isolated, beautiful place to enjoy.
Return to Muscat and your hotel.
