On this trip you see great mountains whose foothills are full of palm trees. A nearby water source irrigates them, and they produce delicious dates.
The day follows the Batinah coast to Barka, then heads south to the oasis of Nakhl and the Al Thowarah hot springs, and on to Rustaq, with forts to visit along the way.

Pickup from anywhere in Muscat.
Drive along the Batinah coast to Barka, then head south to the oasis of Nakhl.
Visit a fort that dates back to the 17th century.
Visit the Al Thowarah hot springs and have lunch in the shade (lunch is not included).
Continue to Rustaq and visit another fort.
Return to Muscat and your hotel.
